Juno Dawson is a multi award-winning author of novels for young adults and is visiting the Lighthouse Bookshop in Edinburgh on Thursday 28th February, 18:30 – 20:30.
Juno wrote the bestselling non-fiction guide to life for young LGBT people, THIS BOOK IS GAY. In 2016 a follow-up, MIND YOUR HEAD, featured everything a young person needs to know about mental health. In 2017, Juno published her adult debut, THE GENDER GAMES. Stylist said of the book: “part memoir, part manifesto, The Gender Games is filled with the type of funny, thoughtful and honest writing that has made Dawson a multi-award winning author.”
Juno is a regular contributor to Attitude Magazine, Glamour Magazine and The Guardian and has contributed to news items on BBC Women’s Hour, Front Row, ITV News, Channel 5 News, This Morning and Newsnight concerning sexuality, identity, literature and education.
At this event, Juno will read from her work, talk about her writing, and take questions from the floor. The event will be chaired by Alice Tarbuck, and there’ll be an opportunity to buy books and have them signed by Juno at the end.
