For those of you who may not buy the paper I’m including the link below. However, there are some things I need to say about it …

Firstly, there is a serious typo in the printed version (which has been corrected in this online version) … where it says “60th birthday” it actually said “16th birthday”.  Unfortunately, despite my request, I wasn’t given the opportunity to proofread the article first to pick up on this simple error.

Secondly, the Fife Free Press site is one of the worst I’ve ever come across as it is seriously over-littered with adverts which a) make reading an article extremely difficult and b) mean one should leave the page alone for a minute before attempting to scroll down, thereby giving the adverts time to load and re-juggle the page layout.

Thirdly, the article implies that over 100 members attend each meeting. This is not so. Our private Facebook group does have over 100 members, but attendance at any group meeting has yet to reach 20.

Anyway, with all that being said, I hope you enjoy what I hope will be the first of many such articles in the paper in the future.
